| Located in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México, TIPSA was established in 1963 as the alternative for the local demand for industrial refrigeration equipment in the frozen foods industry, especially seafood. TIPSA was founded by Leonardo Troeller from the United States and by the current CEO, Miguel Valadés Toledo, born in Mazatlán, who explains the origin and growth of the company as follows: |

"At first TIPSA was acting as a broker for Mazatlan's companies who had low temperature industrial refrigeration requirements, buying foreign manufacturers' equipments mainly from the United States, to import, install and service in Mexico.

Since 1969 we at TIPSA started designing and manufacturing our own refrigeration equipment until we completed a broad production line that enables us to solve almost any kind of ammonia refrigeration related problem. The experience earned throughout the years, allows us to design refrigeration systems according to our clients' working conditions and needs. With the help of our highly qualified and experienced service team TIPSA is on the forefront of industrial refrigeration equipment.

Accordingly with our work philosophy we have improved ourselves and have grown continuously since 1963. We have extended our market from Mazatlán to every city in México, the southern United States and Central America, allocating us as the only Mexican manufacturer of ammonia systems and building a solid bond with our clients. Our mission statement is simple: design, manufacture, install, and provide high quality refrigeration services for the national and international food industry, accomplishing this with on time delivery of any of our products and making our clients feel safe and satisfied with a professional team backing them up."

1963. TIPSA was established in as the alternative for the local demand for industrial refrigeration equipment in the frozen foods industry, especially seafood. TIPSA was founded by Leonardo Troeller from the United States and by the current CEO, Miguel Valadés Toledo

1966. TIPSA is located on a warehouse in Constitución street, Downtown Mazatlan. The systems are fabricated by foreign companies and TIPSA performs the installation and maintenance of them.

1969. The company starts to design and manufacture some of the components of the equipments.

1970. Construction of the current headquarters of the company.

1971. Manufacture of the first evaporative condenser. Being this the first one totally designed and fabricated by TIPSA.

1981. TIPSA builds the first screw compressor unit to be installed in Congeladora Unión SA de CV. To this day, the compressor unit is one of TIPSA’s star products.

1994. Installation of PLC’s in the evaporative condensers & the screw compressor units.

2001. Engineer Leonardo Troeller –founding partner- sells his part of the company to engineer Miguel Valadés Toledo.
