TIPSA's Ammonia Pumping System consists of either two or four pumps depending on the needs of the system to re-circulating the refrigerant. The system has a structured base that is ready to install into any re-circulated liquid system. It also contains a liquid level inside the receptacle. Every receptacle is custom made to the exact pumping requirements and volume specification of the system it will operate on.
Main advantages.
•
Protects the compressor in case of liquid return to the suction end.
•
Easier to use a hot gas defrost system on the suction lines assisting in getting the oil out to the diffusers. Provides better control and distribution of refrigerant to the diffusers.
•
Optimal design reduces installation costs.
•
Vertical column design and liquid level control eliminate the risks of possible pump vibrations.
Construction specifications.
High Pressure Vessel.
The High Pressure Vessel meets ASME quality specifications for 150 psi. The horizontal container has an internal divisions system that provides low gas velocity, a vertical column liquid receiver that eliminates pump vibration, and a security valve assessing the desired amount of gas in the vessel.
Ammonia Pumps.
The system is equipped with either two or four of TIPSA's TBA-603 ammonia pumps depending on the capacity of the system; half of these pumps are backups. The pumps are directly coupled to 3 H.P. 1800 rpm, closed motors capable of running on 220 or 440 volts. The ammonia pumps have a ball valve at the intake and a check valve at the discharge, as well as having all required safety valves.
Liquid Level Control Systems.
This liquid level control system is made up of a level column with viewing windows for the two floating switches. One switch controls the liquid intake to the vessel while the other controls the high level warning alarm.
Control Panel.
The Panel controls both the ammonia pump motors and the solenoid valve, which regulate the liquid intake of the system. The panel operates a thermomagnetic switch and starter on 220 or 440 volts, with 110 volts control and 440 to 110 volts control converter. It has enough capacity for additional pump heaters. It allows for extra capacity for additional pump heaters. It includes a cabinet container made from stainless steel with illuminated selector switches. All the switches are assembled at our facility and are ready to install.
