Products / Compressors / TIPSA's screw compressor unit.
TIPSA's Screw Compressor Unit has the capacity to handle large volumes of gas, with a broad range of compression ratios, while maintaining a high efficiency level.
Main features.
•
High volumetric efficiency due to the cooling action of the lubricants.
•
The compressor has very few moving parts, so maintenance costs related to friction wear are kept at a minimum.
•
Static and dynamíc balancing eliminates machine vibration.
•
The compressor has a lower noise level than the motor.
•
The capacity control system provides continuous discharge decrease from 100% to 10% creating energy savings.
Construction specifications.
Cooling System.
In this cooling system the hot lubricant is cooled down by an evaporative heat exchanger, as well as through the bearings at the intake where it mixes with the refrigerant gas. A portion of the lubricant is then injected though the holes of the sliding valve of the rotors. This lubricant and the refrigerant mix is then sent from the discharge end of the compressor to the oil separator, where the cycle begins again.
Compressor’s Protection System.
This unit is equipped with multiple security controls that protect the compressor in case of a malfunction. These controls are operated by a PLC: security valves, oil pressure control, high gas pressure alarm, high and low temp thermostats, and performance monitoring gauges.
Check Valve.
The check valve on the compressor's intake avoids high-pressure gas return when the compressor is not in operation.
Oil Separator.
This oil separator has a vertical design that provides high efficiency in any working conditions. The oil separator also serves as an oil receptacle.
